CR Degreaser LAC is a water-based alkaline tank cleaning concentrate formulated with advanced ethoxylated alcohol surfactants to achieve complete saponification and emulsification of stubborn oils, fat lipids, and baked-on residues. Engineered to retain high oil-removal efficiency across multiple recirculation cycles, it is widely utilized for cargo tank turnaround and hydrocarbon gas-freeing procedures.
- Ethoxylated Alcohol Technology: Promotes complete emulsification of fatty acids, vegetable oils, animal fats, and lube additives.
- Multi-Wash Efficiency: Retains oil-removal power across repeated wash cycles with minimal reduction in cleaning performance.
- Hydrocarbon Gas-Freeing: Cleans petrochemical, diesel, jet fuel, and aromatic hydrocarbon residues to facilitate safe gas-freeing of tanks.
High-Pressure Spraying: For heavy-duty stains, spray directly onto contaminated bulkheads via high-pressure spray equipment. Allow 10 to 15 minutes contact time at ambient temperature before washing off with water (do not leave undiluted product on surfaces for more than 30 minutes).
Circulation Method: Dilute to a 0.2% – 3.0% concentration in water. Circulate through tank washing machines using a deep well pump for ~5 hours at 40°C – 45°C (can be increased up to 65°C – 85°C for heavy residues). Precaution: Maintain cleaning temperatures at least 10°C below the boiling point of the lightest cargo component.
Parts Immersion: Soak small components in a 3% to 8% solution bath in water.
Epoxy & Phenolic Tanks: Dilute up to 1 part product to 10 parts water (10%) to preserve coating integrity.

Cargo Compatibility: Effective against mineral/seed oils (palm, coconut, cashew, cottonseed, latex, CTLA polymer), animal fats, lube additives (Exxon, Shell, Lubrizol, Chevron), aromatics, fuel oil, phenol, wax, coal, and soot.
Surface Notice: Exercise caution on zinc-coated surfaces due to reactivity; use CR Zinc Safe Neutral HCF as an alternative on zinc linings.
Safety Precautions: Strong alkaline solution. Full protective clothing, gloves, and safety goggles must be worn. If contact occurs with skin or eyes, flush immediately with generous amounts of water, use standard eyewash, and seek medical attention.
